HOW MUCH DIOPTER DO YOU NEED?
Diopter values are based on the metric scale. A +1 diopter will result in 1 meter focus at your lens’ infinity focus setting. If you want to know the new infinity focus in feet, then you will need to convert from 1 meter to 3.3 feet. You’ll also want to work out your new minimum focus distance.

Multiple Strengths
We offer our Close Up Diopters in multiple densities to fine tune your close focus. +0.25 to +2 is our standard range allowing for incremental close focus adjustment.
Industry Standard
Compatible with industry standard holders including the Bright Tangerine ONE Tray, Arri 138mm rear filter holders and the Revar Cine Double Tray.
Our 138mm Diopters require a 138mm filter holder either as a rear stage donut or trays from Arri, Cinema Works, or Bright Tangerine. Most trays take up two stages of a 4x5.65 Matte Box making 138mm rear donut mounting ideal for adding additional filtration.
We only offer this in 138mm size.
Depending on your application, the best strength can vary. If you are after close shots at least half of the minimum focus distance of your lens, then the +2 is most popular. If you are looking to get just a little bit closer with Anamorphic lenses, the +0.50 is popular giving you the ability to go from mid-range to head and shoulders type shots easily.
